What is Accent Reduction?

Truthfully, I hate that terminology. It implies that speaking with an accent is inherently bad. This is FALSE! Everyone should be proud of their native tongue, and how that may affect the way they speak other languages.

People who are seeking to “fix” or “reduce” their accent are actually just seeking to learn a different accent, and THIS is my specialty.

The focus, however, should never be to lose an accent and sound 100% native (that is the colonist’s approach); the goal should always be confidence and clarity in communication.

¿Qué quiere decir con reducción del acento?

En verdad, odio esta frase. Implica que hay algo malo en hablar con un acento. Esto es FALSO! Todos deben de tener orgullo por su idioma nativo, y como eso pueda afectar su manera de hablar otros idiomas.

De hecho, personas que buscan arreglar o reducir su acento, realmente quieren aprender otro acento, y ESTO es mi especialidad.

El enfoque nunca debe fijarse en perder su acento y sonar 100% nativo (eso es la estrategia del colono); el objetivo siempre debe de ser confianza y claridad en la comunicación.
